This team hosts SFSU students from all cohorts and majors, with our team fully managed by students as well. To manage our team effectively, we split our personnel into different subteams:
Manages all documentation, CAD library, and instructional material
Write SOPs and helps to develop workshop plans
Administers and validates BOM purchases and expedited parts orders
Manages inventory on available tools and components
Coordinates tasks and communicates relevant information to other subteams
ME/MFG = Mechanical/Manufacturing
Main POC for help with mechanical or manufacturing related issues, providing one-on-one help
Develops and leads mechanical/manufacturing themed workshops
Provide feedback to upcoming BOM/standardized lists, as well as individuals bots
Takes notes of possible ideas/improvements during competitions
EE/CS = Electrical/Computer Science
Main POC for help with electrical, electronic, or programming related issues, providing one-on-one help
Develops and leads electrical/electronic/programming themed workshops
Provide feedback to upcoming BOM/standardized lists, as well as individuals bots
Takes notes of possible ideas/improvements during competitions
Helps bot builders stay on-track for upcoming competitions
Main POC for competition/event logistics, both for competing bots and necessary equipment
Helps coordinate transportation to off-campus events/competitions
Helps facilitate events/competitions hosted by Chomp City and maintains proper safety standards
All marketing and advertisement is managed through a joint collaboration with Delta Sigma Pi, a business fraternity at San Francisco State
Social Media: Manages all social media accounts, keeping members up-to-date with events, club progress, bot submissions, and more (Instagram, Discord, Email)
Posts upcoming hosted events and communicated to network of nearby combat robotics team
Creates flyers and other promotional material (e.g. promo videos, sponsorship brochures, etc)
